Our People




The Musical Director of the Tasmanian Song Company is Rachel Taylor.  Rachel is a talented and versatile singer and has performed professionally since her teen years.  She has had wide experience in major theatres, casinos, festivals and clubs in her home state of Tasmania, Queensland’s Performing Arts Centre, jazz clubs and on the Queensland pop/rock circuit. Stylistically she enjoys everything from contemporary and folk music, through opera and cabaret, to pop, rock and disco.



Iestyn


Iestyn has studied accompaniment and jazz theory for 3 years at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music.  An extraordinarily talented pianist, he also plays piano and keyboard in a number of Hobart bands, performing a range of styles.  He has performed frequently in the pit of a number of Tasmanian musical theatre productions.  His long term interest is in jazz piano, with an outstanding flair.
